LAW FIRM OF DAVID CHASE IS REVIEWING POTENTIAL CLAIMS AGAINST CHARLES D WATSON

The Law Firm Of David Chase is investigating Merrill Lynch (CRD#7691) broker Charles D Watson (CRD#4063528) after a customer filed a $1.2 million FINRA arbitration against him alleging unsuitable investment recommendations.

According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck report on Watson, a customer filed a FINRA arbitration complaint in June of 2017 against Watson alleging unsuitable investment recommendations and omissions of material facts with alleged damages of $1.2 million.

Merrill Lynch has employed Watson from September of 2009. Watson operated out of Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith’s Germantown, Tennessee branch. He was previously registered / employed with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (CRD#149777) and Citigroup Global Markets (CRD#7059).

Among other basic tenets, brokers are required to recommend suitable investments to their customers. This requires that the broker: investigate and conduct due diligence into the investment’s benefits, risks, tax consequences, and other relevant factors to form a reasonable basis for the recommendation of the product, and appropriately match the investment with the customer’s specific investment needs and objectives, such as employment/retirement status, long or short-term investment objectives, age, disability, income needs, or any other relevant factors.

When a broker or brokerage firm fails to recommend investments to its customers along those guidelines, there has to be accountability. If you have lost money on an investment that did not fit your investment profile, you may be able to recover some or all of your lost money.

FINRA arbitration is a fast, efficient way to recover your lost investment funds due to suitability, fraud or mismanagement. The Law Firm of David Chase works on a contingency fee basis, meaning you pay nothing unless you recover money.

If you have invested with Charles D Watson and Merrill Lynch or Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and have lost money doing so, you may be able to recover some or all of your losses. David Chase is experienced in recovering investor losses due to broker and brokerage firm misconduct through FINRA arbitration.
